On Thursday, Feb. 26th, Uptown Cigar in Kingston, NY will be hosting an Ashton Taste of Excellence event at the store from 4pm-7pm. We will have scotch and chocolate pairings with cigars here in store, followed by a 3 course dinner at Le Canard Enchaine, the region's very best French restaurant, right across the street. Each attendee will be given scotch, dinner, 3 cigars, and will be entered into raffles, which we will hold at the end of the night. Smoking will be permitted in the store and in the restaurant. There will be a cash bar available during dinner. The event is $55 per person, and will be capped at 50 people. Please PM me if you are interested in attending. Hope to see at least some of you there.

We will also be offering discounts on ALL Ashton products, including humidors, here in store and online. Thanks.

Israel...you're killing me here! Wish I could go but I've got work up the ying-yang. To any of you guys thinking about doing this, don't hesitate. Uptown puts on great events.
 
Where would be the best place to stay for the evening at that event? I usually stay in North Jersey across the Tunnel when I go to shows, dinner, etc. but would love to make an event up there!

There are a few motels nearby (within a mile). Or, there's always room in my house. Let me know.

Next time I get up there with the wife for a show and dinner though, will have to get together and smoke a few!
 
Sorry you can't make it Don. You'll have to make it up here for another event. My next one is the biggest of the year. I'll keep you posted. Meanwhile, I'm now full for the event.
 
This sounds like a great time. I sure wish I didnt live 3K miles away. If Isreal is hosting this I'm sure it will be a very classy evening.

Israel, I heard threw the grape vine that you guys had a great time last night. I know that I'm not the fastest to post pictures but did you guys any good ones. If so, I'd love to see them....... :) :thumbs: :cool:

It was such a great time, Charlie. Everyone had a lot of fun and there wasn't one complaint of any kind whatsoever in the group. Amazing food, great cigars, and even better company. Lou met his long lost brother after talking for hours, everyone got loaded on beer and scotch in the store before going across the street for dinner...it was great. Lou was handing my customers some ridiculous smokes and it made my Ashton rep jealous. Not because they weren't Ashtons, but because HE didn't get any of Lou's CCs! This was by far the very best cigar dinner we've had. The Spring Smoker coming up in April is the event YOU DON'T WANT TO MISS! I'll have details for you and the Newburgh crew on Thursday when I see you. I will also post some pics for everyone to see.
 
WOW.... we had a GREAT time in Kingston :thumbs: . The food at Le Canard Enchaine was insanely good. I had the braised lamb shank. Ed ordered two great wines for us at out table which were outstanding. As usual, Israel was very generous and slipped me a La Riqueza in a fiver that I purchased. Been looking to smoke one of these since everybody is raving about them.
