So, just got back from my vacation to Aruba. If you have never been, GO. I watched te sunset from my balcony every night. I smoked almost a half a box of Siglo 4's, a few RASSC's, a couple of nice morning smokes (Choix Supremes), a a few PS2s, a RyJ Cedro Delux #2, and a 2000 opus X that I brought with me.
I am becoming a really big fan of the ISOM Cohibas, they were so tasty. I went to the LCDH to ensure authenticity, and was happy to pay the LCDH premium for these smokes. When I made it clear that I was not just some American who wanted an ISOM because I could (well, I mean, I guess I still am, but I have SOME more knowledge than the average putz), the women in the store were very helpful, and even pulled out an older box to sell me the Siglos, becasue I was willing to buy 8 of them, as well as the other cigars. They threw in a chep (11 bucks) torch lighter becasue lighting a cigar in the constant tradewind is impossible.
So, I'm not going to review all of the cigars, as they have all been reviewed ad naseum, but just wanted to say HI and to thank all of the patient BOTL's and experienced Aruba goers who gave me some great advice about what to do while I was there. I ignored 90% of that terrific advice, and mostly just sat around, smoked great cigars, soaked up the sun, gambled (the craps table paid for my cigar budget) scuba dived (dove?), and got drunk for two weeks.
All in all though, it's good to be home. We picked up our new puppy, and am typing in the few seconds I have while she catches a nap, before the next round of playing, eating and pooping.
