How well do these work? Suitable for storing premiums for ~3 months?

I was going to buy some nice cigars for my father for X-mas, but wanted to save up and get him a nice humi for his birthday in March. Would this humi keep the cigars nicely for a few months?

I have used them for short period of time and they worked fine. I believe it states that they are good for 6 months, but I cannot testify first hand.

Do a search and I think you'll find your answer. I'm pretty sure it was Brickhouse who used them quite extensively in Iraq. I think he gave them a pretty good review.

Again, a search for the bags and Brickhouse should turn up some info.

(I've never used one, but remember the previous discussion.)

Edited to add:

Look HERE and check out the last post in the thread...

I had an 'over-flow" of cigars last year :whistling: ...I used 2 bags to handle abotut 20 cigars each...they worked out so well that I didn't stop using the bags until I smoked them all. I had them for about 3 months and I couldn't believe how they stood up!!!

Yep, they work great.

I used 2 of the 25ct's and 1 of the 10cts over in Iraq. They lasted about 7-8 months, but 6 months is probably best.

They will hold at 68%-70% steadily. Great temporary storage. Very worry free.

IMO, worth the money.

Let me know if you need any other info.

I just noticed these myself at my local B&m. I quickly thought how easy it would be to just buy some spare beads and make something myself . Dont know which way would be more cost effective.

Great info Brickhouse, Thanks

What would happen if I put double the amount of cigars in the bag, but for a lot less time? The reason I ask is because I need to store about 100 cigars for only about 3 weeks. Could I buy two bags and put 50 in each? I don't need 6 month storage.

Well if the humidity of the cigars are up to the 65 or 70 I think you would be fine. It’s easier to maintain humidity then it is to bring the cigars up to it. Although I’m not sure if 50 would fit in a 25ct humi bag.

Get a medium sized Tupperware container (Rubbermaid, Gladware, etc.), and something to maintain the humidity (a small tube of beads from Viper/Heartfelt - search for him :) )

I used both the humi-bags for well over 6 months in Iraq and they were always on point! I also used small Tupperware container and it did the same thing I think it just depends on what you want! My 2 cents :D

I have an extra 65% Puck that I'm currently not using. The Tupperware sounds like a good short term solution.
