I agree, it's a little high. But not everybody can get MSRP for sticks, especially on the 858SG and Anejos.

The 858SG is especially rare and almost never sells for anywhere close to srp.

I guess you're right, Lumby - these prices are much better than last year... ;)

Edited to add:

And BTW - this is not intended to start any kind of flame war in this thread. This is mearly an observation of past practices. Clearly Ian has toned down the prices of the Anejo's, but they still are more than my B&M is selling them for. I'm not saying Ian is a bad guy - his business practice is definitely better than some of the online retailers that grace this site. I just REFUSE to pay these kinds of pricing because I hate encouraging people selling these cigars for over MSRP...

Caveat Emptor on pricing...

Hey Ian, I see you have 9 of these babies left. This does seem a little high... :)

Any way to sweeten up this offer sir???

Anyone who orders(ed) this sampler will recieve a bonus stick of my choice.

Allow me to put an end to the discussion revolving around super premium cigar gouging. Having a Fuente account means more than simply getting Arturo Fuente cigars dropped at your feet by angels. You spend all year buying up JC Newman cigar accessories, humidors, valets, from your rep (thats how they get paid) so that your annual Holiday allotment of premium cigars will grow. Basically you jump through hoops and brown nose until Anejos come out. Long sob story short, after a year of hardcore brown nosing, we got half what we got last year. That seems to be the consensus with Arturo Fuente dealers in my area. Blame it on Republicans, Democrats, gas prices, minorities, majoritys, christians, and jews...whatever the story, the cigars aren't here this year, nor were they here for Fathers Day. That said, In order to make what we did last year, we could sell them in my store for $20/stick to unsuspecting desperate wives all day long...But we didn't. We also understand your argument, "The local shop on my block sells OpusX for MSRP." That shop has had a Fuente account for 50 years and has no problems getting his normal allotment and selling them at MSRP to his favorite customers like he does every year.

I want to thank all of our loyal CigarPass customers who have made many purchases with us throughout the year. You know who you are we greatly appreciate it and I hope everyone has a politically correct Holiday Season.

I suppose you COULD but isn't that against JC Newman's policy? I've read many times that Newman does not allow their authorized dealers to mark their cigars up that much. Is that still the policy or has it changed?

I've been selling Don Carlos cigars at 30% below MSRP for over a year now...I don't think they really care about pricing.

I know that's not true - I have personally spoken with a person in their office that monitors that sort of thing and he said they are VERY concerned about what dealers charge...

They probably don't care if you give them away but based on what I heard from people and seen posted here and on other cigar sites, they do care when their retailers sell them for considerably higher than MSRP.
