Am sure some of you have smoked these shorties before......
I like that their.long enough to enjoy for a quick smoke n I find them to be mild.....
Who's smoked them n what are your thoughts?

Am getting ready to go to the smoke shop n was gonna pick some shorties up......
Any advice on other mild shorties for me to try?
I've been smokin cigars for a year, but only smoke bout once a month
I recently bought a humidor n would like to purchase a few mild cigars to keep in it....
I had smoked one at a get together that tasted like rum.......it was good n mild, but I don't recall the name...
Thanks in advance

"Don't you put that evil on me, Ricky Bobby! "

The AF Hemingway Short Story is a great mild mannered quick stick. I've smoked plenty over the years.

Another great little stick, in my opinion, is the Oliva Serie G.

It's not as earthy as the AF, but I find it to be pretty tasty and medium bodied.

A bit stronger, but still one that was a goto in my early days, is the Punch Rare Corojo Rothschild.

I've moved into fuller/stronger sticks in the last year or so, but still have a fondness for all of these.

Good luck, and welcome aboard!

Montecristo Robusto's are pretty mild and good. You'd enjoy those.

Usually it's a good idea to post n intro before asking questions. Feel free to do so.

Welcome to CP!

Last couple I smoked were excellent... I rather enjoyed them...

Romeo y Julieta have the Love Story out there.  Looks idential to a Shorty.
Has a hard draw at first but blossoms very nicely.
Another quicky in my book is a Montecristo #4, short, mild, very nice smoke.  Cheaper than a Short or Love Story.

The Hemingway short story is hard to beat for a true short smoke.
I love Petit coronas, and finding good, non-cuban, longleaf examples has been quite a challenge.

Illusione MK, MK Ultra, and 68.

I've smoked hundreds of the Oliva Serie G Special G, and while good, not nearly as consistent as the short story.
Although, it is lot less expensive. Definitely worth a try. I always bought the cameroon version, but I think there is a maduro
version as well.

The Padron Delicias is a good smoke, in either wrapper.

I also really like the JR Ultimate Petit Corona with the Ecuador Sumatra wrapper. Good price too.
The JR Ultimate Habanitos and El Rey del Mundo Cafe Au Lait, again both with Ecuador Sumatra wrapper, and with the Ultimate being a bit more refined. I'll only get the Ecuador Sumatra wrapper in these because their other wrappers do not do it for me, with the maduro being the worst for my palate (metallic finish).

Fixed it for you.

Also, make sure you post up and intro and let us get to know you a bit.  Read the forum rules and get to know how we do things around here.

As for the cigar, great little smoke and very enjoyable for a quick smoke.  I would second the illusione 68- amazing smoke right there. Padron 2000 maduro tends to be a good 45-1hr smoke for me and you'll find many people hold the same opinion that you can't go wrong with that stick though it doesn't tend to be what you'd call mild.

Don't wanna come off as a dick, but did you try the search feature? There are various lists and recommendations, this has been discussed before.
Search is your freind.

Happy smoking,

I just smoked a Fuente Magnum R 54. Mild-medium deliciousness right in the same wheelhouse as the Hemingway line in terms of smoothness.

Have you tried a R&J Love Story? Almost identical to the Short Story.
I start my mornings /w either a Short Story, Love Story or a Monte #4.
All 3 are fairly quick, mild and a great way to start the day.
