What's the best price seen for these?

Good luck finding any 858's in the SG wrapper. The are highly sought after and command a premium over 858's in another wrapper.

The 8-5-8 SGs are one of my favorite cigars. Good luck finding them - the only place I have ever seen them is at Casa Fuente in Las Vegas.

I got a ten pack some time back. Paid $7 each for em. They are good but IMHO the SG Chateau is better.

I've tried the natural and the maduro 8-5-8's, the natural being the better stick for me, but I've never seen the sungrown anywhere yet.

The shop near me is insanely overpriced, being across the street from the main entrance of Belmont, so I had to pay twice that for each stick! (that was before I found this place and found a lot of better sources )

I don't think that price is too far off what there worth. As for what they cost you can pay this kin d of money HERE
The the Sun Grown Chateau is only about $70.00 a box and is just as good.

Thats only my opinion.

I have to agree. I think the Cuban Belicoso is the best of the sun grown line. Of course, I haven't smoked the Hemingway Classic Sungrown that jingle gifted me yet. I'll let you know after that.

Back on topic, though, the 858 SGs are just too rare for me to smoke regularly. At one time, the only stores that ever received boxes of 858SGs were the ones that competed in the 858 display contest that Fuente held several years back. The contest was to see which store could create the best display/promotional in their store for the 858 line. Most of the stores that I saw used their empty boxes in some way. Don't know if there were multiple winners, but I do know that Club Humidor in San Antonio, TX one the contest. The owner and manager, Keith Rumbo, got a free trip to Chateau Fuente out of the deal. It was cool promotional.

After that, the 858SGs started to show up. At the time, only those stores that participated received them. They may have expanded that now. Don't know.
