Can anyone tell me about the seals on these humidors? Are they good? How do they get a a tight seal with doors? Do they keep good temperature and humidity?

Thanks.

Figures Wade would be quick to answer  , I don't have one yet but I am deciding between a few of Bob's humi's.

What you see is what you get... Call Bob!

He'll tell you everything upfront and straight!

Mine's an older one and the seal is fine.
He may have gone to a different type, but I'm not sure.

Simply put - it's weather stripping.

<edit> - yes, the humidity control is great (from what I hear and I hope, what I'm going to find out)!

Do a search for arristocrat on CP...you'll get some more info!

I'd really like to get one of these, they look great and it sounds like they work even better.

I am the proud owner of one of Bob's creations and I can tell you he truely and ARTIST! The seal on my humidor is great and I have never had any issues with the humidification other than you gots to keep the water in the unit :whistling: ;)

Bob worked with me and designed a great piece that I love and have received many many great compliments on :D

Well... Here is another compliment, NICE bro!!!!

Yes, that is a beauty! I'm saving my money so one day I can get one of those humis. However, it will probably be 2-3 years from now because of how much I spend on cigars and also, I'm saving for the temp. controlled unit in the largest size. Costs a damn arm and a leg but would be the last humi that I should ever need to purchase. :)

In case it isn't clear enough from the responses you have gotten....
Bob S. is a true craftsman and artist in a way that is becoming more and more rare.
Not only are his humis a thing of beauty, they fulfill their function to a stellar degree.
I moved a while back, and removed the humidity unit from my humi. I forgot to put it back in for a few weeks, then went on vacation (Twice) and when I got back and looked at it, humidity had fallen about 2-3 percent. Now, that was in a pretty packed box in acontrolled environment....but I think it speaks pretty highly of his seals.

These pictures show it about 30 percent less stuffed than it is now.

I love my Aristocrat!
Bob is the greatest and the humidors that he builds are true pieces of art.

My Aristocrat M Plus THC arrived the week after Christmas. It has maintained absolutely stable humidity and temperature since I loaded it up a week after arrival. Bob said that the walnut raised panels on the doors are as stunning as he has seen. I guess I had better post some pics.
