here's a totally n00b question! Are ISOM's really that great? Never having smoked one, I'm kinda curious. Hell, I just figured out what ISOM stands for! Amazing what you learn when you actually take the time to read things like FAQ's, help areas and acronym lists!
I've been to Mexico, Spain and our fair neighbor to the south Canada (Well, at least south to me!) but I never tried one. With all the reports of fakes, I could never be sure I was getting the real thing. I'm not up on the labels, box codes and all that, and I didn't want to spend the big bucks on something that would taint the expirence. Plus I was never in an area where there was an 'authorized' Havana House.
I would be willing to buy some provided 1) people say they are worth the extra expense and trouble and 2) DELETED - READ THE ISOM AREA AND THOUGHT I WOULD NOT ASK THIS. I saw a guy get hauled off at customs for trying to smuggle in a box of some... man you should have heard his wife- she obviously didn't know he had them! I guess there are places outside the US that will ship into the US, but how do they do it without getting busted?
I'll probably get blasted for such a n00b post (and a taboo subject?), but curious minds want to know! After trying to 'broaden my horizons' in regards to my cigar smoking, I owe it to myself to try some at least.
