can’t speak from personal experience, but CA has reviewed a few different vitolas in the recent past (none of which in the issues I have were the figurado, though).
they’re nicaraguan filler & binder with a honduran wrapper.
the churchill sized “julieta” received an 87, and was described as “a dark and toothy cigar with a pigtail cap. It has some sweetness, with roasted notes, but showed some inconsistency.” msrp $14.00
the lonsdale sized “cervantes” received an 88, and was described as “this dark, pigtailed cigar burns roughly and has a sharp, charry flavor at first. then it mellows, developing nutty, toasty notes with a hint of cocoa. medium to full bodied.” msrp $10.50
the panetella sized “laguito no. 1” received an 87, and was described as “a dark cigar with a pigtail. The draw is lush. It’s woody and simple, with some toasty notes.” msrp $10.00
…for whatever that’s worth.
