Question for ya' though... what do you mean by "CI is Cbid is the devil"? I understand that CI is Cbid, but how do you figure that they are the devil and that they gouge? Is it your opinion that Cbid gouges? Little confused by the way you wrote that.

Well I've never used cbid and don't plan to. I also think if a idiot wants to pay 200% over list price its his choice.

I am however always looking for a better deal so I look forward to Lee's list.

Hmmm... that thread was interesting. In that case, I understand how folks might be a little upset with cbid / CI. However, when it comes to cbid - I don't know about you, but any purchase I've ever made I've saved $$! I always know going into an auction what the lowest price is that I can get them on-line, and I never go over that. Sometimes, I get outbid, which is fine. However, other times, I get really good deals. I imagine this is the way that most or the other guys approach cbid as well. Therefore, if this is considered gouging, I'm all for it! :laugh:

Don't get me wrong, you can set a limit on Cbid and come away with a deal sometimes....but not most of the time.

The shipping is where the really get you though. You can set it up to have things consolidated and shipped together, but I guarantee that they will still get you once in a while.

I've been screwed royally by CBid, which is also CI. They're customer service was extremely rude to me, yet I was very professional. I posted my less than desirable experience with Cbid here a few weeks ago. Personally, I'll never do business with CB or CI ever again. If you are interested in other reputable cigar retailers, we can provide you some names. If you're happy with CI, by all means stick with them. People need to do what makes them happy.

In my experience with cbids' customer service, they have been terrific! I've had two legitimate returns that they took back agreeably, no problem at all. I've also had a couple of returns that if they wanted to, they didn't really need to honor, but they allowed me to send back the items. I've really been impressed with their customer service.

tell you a story about best cigar prices ordered 5 cigars from them they sent me 2 free because of my apo adress.I ordered $29 worth of cigars they charged me $18 dollare for shipping and handling. I called them and some woman was on the phone started screaming at me and told me i could take my buisness elsewwhere if i did not like it.I asked to speak to superviser she screamed i am the superviser. Finally she let me talk to the shipping guy who explained since he had to drive to post office they charged me that much. In the end he gave me ten dollars back but not without a fight and i explained to them this was an international call still kept me online 45 min arguing. i weighed the package it was less than one pound so the moral is we all have a story about probably any of the vendors out there.

I've actually never ordered from them, so your experience may very well be indicative of the type of retailer that they are. I believe they are the only one in that list that I haven't ordered from. They came recommended to me from someone else, but I certainly wouldn't vouch for them since I have no experience buying anything from their site.
