Anyone interested in a Daniel Marshall Humi?

Hey all,
Well I broke down and bought a Daniel Marshall humidor. I've been wanting one for about 4 years, but they can be pretty pricey so I've been waiting. I emailed them the other day about their "private stock" humidors (which are humi's with tiny imperfections in finish or color variation from pictures, etc) and they sent me the list. The one I was eyeing was on sale for $275, and if you purchased a second one, you got it for $150, so I just ordered 2. My hope is to find someone who might like one of these, and we can split the cost of them. So basically we're looking at $212.50 for the humidor, plus whatever it costs to ship the box to you.
I spoke to Doug over at DM and he said that these boxes look so good that you won't find anything wrong with them, plus they offer a 100% money back return policy within 7 days if you don't like the box for any reason, and they'll pay shipping back!

In any case, if you're interested in one of these, let me know, we can work together to complete the purchase (I can list on ebay or whatever).

Here is what the box looks like:

And here are some links to articles about the box on cigar afficianado:

If you look these boxes up online, many pictures of them have a tray too, the trays were $25.00 extra, and it was nothing I couldn't build myself, so I decided to pass. The ones without the trays have higher dividers.

PM me if you're interested!!!

I saw these at the RTDA show. They are beautiful and well made. Someone is going to get a nice deal.

i was checking out the links last night. I already have a 150 ct humi, and would require a larger one in my next purchase. This looks like a VERY good quality humi, for newbies. At least it won't warp, and will keep the sticks good for a long time.... not trying to sell, i don't know the seller, i just recognise quality. (damn i would even pick this up if i hadn't made so many puchases this year ;) )

Glad to see everyone appreciates this humidor as much as I do! They're going to arrive today, so I'm really excited! Someone mentioned that they don't know the seller, and I realized that I'm a newbie on here, but I'm a long time e-bayer and my feedback is 100% positive after about 240 transactions. Totally willing to do the transaction through ebay as well so the buyer has some peace of mind.
Thanks again all, I'll update later today when they arrive!!

I'd like to buy one of these for my son, however, I looked on E-Bay under the user name of gwh68 and it shows that user being a member since 02, but zero feedback. Is that correct?

I live very close to Colorado, so maybe we could meet halfway? You can reply here if you like.

Thanks

Marty, my ebay name isn't gwh68, I sent it to you along with some other info in a PM!

Just an update on this Daniel Marshall humidor.

The representatives at Daniel Marshall gave Brian a $50.00 discount on the original purchase, which he in turn passed on to me.

The humidor arrived yesterday, and it is beautiful, to say the least. After careful inspection I finally found the cosmetic "imperfection". It is so slight that it wouldn't be noticed unless a person was actually looking for it. For $162.50, this is one of, if not the best deal I've found relating to my cigar smoking. Now all I have to do is get it seasoned and fill it with premium smokes. I mean, a humidor of this quality deserves nothing more.

Thanks Brian, and btw, I hope you enjoy your stay in London. Smoke one for me while you're there.

Hi,

I'm not sure what you are asking me, but the humidor is 8½" wide which means it can potentially hold gigante size [8"], or even presidente [8 1/2"] size cigars.

The capacity is 125 cigars but I generally smoke robusto/rothschild size so I don't expect to be able to put 125 cigars in it because of the ring size.

If the humidity holds as well as advertised, I have a few Opus, PAM's, and an assortment of other "imported" cigars that I will lay down to sleep - tuck it away in a closet and just forget about them.

Thanks for the photos and congrats on the humi. It is a beauty. :)

Nice Humi---wish I saw this sooner---the search begins :whistling:

Scored one as well can't say how pleased I am for your post & suggestion. I have to say I more then content with this choice. :) Thanks for sharing the info.

Did you sell the 2nd humi? Woops - See that the 2nd one sold - Also see that others were interested - If I contact the company and see if they would do the same deal would any of you be interested in the 2nd humidor? Seems like a nice gift for the wife to give to me for xmas  Let me know - maybe gwh68 could give his contact name DM -
