I'm looking to get some info on a pipe baccy at Leavitt & Peirce in Harvard Square. I'm pretty sure Erlich's in Boston carries it also.

Harvard Cakebox Mixture

Looking for price/oz, and if anyone has tried it what they thought of it.

Thanks. :D

It's my understanding that Ehrlich's, after many years, recently closed their doors. You might try LJ Peretti, they're very nice on the phone and they might have either this or something similar.

Good luck!

Ehrlich's hasn't closed; they simply merged with Churchill's. Nonetheless, Peretti's has a much better selection than Ehrlich's.

Thanks for the clarification. I have many fond memories of Ehrlich's and one of my favorite pipes, a gold banded straight bulldog, is one of theirs. It's now over 40 years old and still smokes great!

I know what you're tallink about. I live in the area, and I was supposed to head up there (to leavitt) this weekend to pick up some "judge's blend" which i've heard is quite good.

Cakebox mix is pretty good, but i've heard judge's is better.

I would imagine the Judges is the same price?
They're both "store blends" right? ???
