I have that exact cooler. Got it as a Father's day gifr. Installed a Ranco temperature controler and got some more 65% beads from Viper. Wish I had gotten the Vinotemp 28 instead.
The Avanti does not appear to be very well insulated. The top near the door is always cold which means heat is getting in. The top at the back is always hot from running a good part of the time. The humidity is not stable due to it running so much of the time. Just about the time the RH gets back to 65%, the unit turns on and the RH drops to 59 or 60%.
I also think the door seal is not very good. I have to add a lot of water to the beads every week to keep the RH up.
It also does not hold that much. I have three singles trays, one box, and one 20 count humi in it and it is fairly full. At least it is keeping my cigars cool.
