Hey mates.
Sorry, I almost missed this.
Really nice to know you were thinking of me.
I live in the north Island so am miles from the quake site. my little sister lives about 50 miles from it, so we were a bit worried for her but she is fine. I still lurk but live a very quiet, frugal life here now, so most of the posts here I cant really comment on, although I still read em and enjoy em.
Its funny how quick we can lose touch, even here with family and friends the days fly past.
Life in this town (Taumarunui) is very slow paced and quiet so it fits me perfect nowadays(POP 2100 and falling).
Waiting for my Habaneros to ripenup so I can make some more sauce is about the highlight of my existence here LOL, so Ive got it pretty damn easy.
Spent most of this summer making preserves and a bit of fruit jams for winter.
Ive had to list my motorbike to sell, as the rego and insurance is out of reach for me now LOL. Used her for a few months here with no rego on her but the local cops soon cottoned on to me, haha so they gave me the choice of taking her of the road or getting her impounded LOL. So with the money I will more than likely buy a cheap car. The bike rego was 1000 dollars as the Govt has slapped us with higher charges this year, which makes owning a motorbike here a working mans game. Cant do it on the invalids pension I'm afraid. But thats cool I got heaps of good memories from riding and one day I may be in a better position, so may get another bike.
Anyway. Take care youall and thanks for the thoughts.
Dave
