I had a credit with Thompson (I know, I know) and had a humidor on back order so after waiting two months for it to arrive I finally called them to cancel the order and got a full refund for my troubles. I ordered four cedar trays from cheaphumidor.com, and a couple boxes of Oliva Serie G double robustos, Sancho Panza Extra-Fuerte Cordoba, and a bag of beads for nearly the same price as the Thompson humidor alone. I will pick up a cooler when the shipment arrives. My thanks and gratitude goes out to the CP brothers who have shown me the light............forgive me for doubting, and being so incredulous.

I think the longer you stay in the hobby the more likely you're gonna eventually setup a coolidor. I went more than a decade without one. Now under my desk it sits housing 4 boxes. It'll get ya.

Depending on how much of a plastic smell there is in the cooler, you may want to buy it and do the work so it's ready when your shipment arrives. Keep in mind the cedar trays may not be seasoned when they arrive so you may have to keep a close eye on the RH for a few days. Good job on the decision to go with a cooler. It was never a convenient option for me, but when the time was right I was able to convince the wife to go with the wine cooler option.

So true......my wine cellar is a different issue all together. I have some 200 bottles of vino I have collected over the years aging in my friends built in wine cellar that I have to eventually find a home for when we move back to San Diego. I would love to set up a custom walk in wine/cigar cellar, but that like all great things will have to wait.
