Another gifted cigar (#2 from Swissy-thanks Jim)that the opportune time came yesterday to send it to its fiery demise. Smoking with my JR buddies was the perfect setting.
Solid looking cigar that was hard to the touch. The wrapper golden brown and there were no major veining except one- 1/2 inch from the foot-where there was a notch. There was a crack near the cap but I was able to remedy it with my xikar.
Prelight draw was unventful. Once lit up the cigar gave a cedar taste with a mild pepper finish but nothing earth shattering. Never to go into any conclusion prematurely, I gave the cigar a chance and boy was it worth the wait. After the first quarter, CREAM, SPICE, LEATHER dominated and the pepper taste changed to a hint of sweetness!!! What a wonderful smoke that maintained its complex taste to the nub! White smoke that where coming out of my mouth in near perfect circles with the ash building up an inch or so before falling off without coaxing.
I hope I gave you guys the impression that I LIKE THIS CIGAR!
