Here's the story

I'm not sure how I feel about this. I'm one of those slack jawed midwesterners that sees Budweiser as an American icon of sorts. I guess it's the way of the world these days.
 
This is a different article that is saying the deal is done. The article form the Thursday's NY Times was not definitive by any means stating that the deal is "near completion".

It's an update to the story.
 
I just read about this myself.

While I'm not a huge fan on Anheuser-Busch products I am amazed that this is going through. Budweiser is about as American as baseball and apple pie, the idea of it being owned by a foreign company amazes me.
 
Goes to show everbody has a price :( that is like McDonald's selling to the French!

My sentiments exactly! It's like we're loosing a part of our heritage.
 
Call me un-American but I am not too concerned. Operations are supposed to stay in St Louis and InBev makes some pretty good, mass marketed beers. InBev is in business to make money and won't change a product that sells so well.
