This my first review for our spring/summer season.
Angel 100 Toro? 1961 series

This is my last one of these cigars so I thought I had better share my thoughts on it.
Construction is perfect, with a slightly toothy wrapper.

Prelight aroma is almost coffee bean like.
Prelight draw is easy.
Lots of thick smoke on light up. I like that in a cigar, easy draw with lots of thick smoke.
These cigars to me are reminiscent of a Padron 3000 but with a bit more nicotine.
Ash was Grey and mottled with no white or black, just light and dark Grey.
The wrapper looked aged and slightly oily as it burnt. Almost rustic looking

Unfortunately it was to windy to keep the ash on for too long and it blew off at the first inch.
Burn was slightly tunneled and ash turned flaky at just before the half way mark, but the draw and taste was good.
Just after the halfway mark the flavors intensified a little with a small droplet of resin at the end.
Lots of thick smoke.
These are everything I love in a cigar, strong, good burn, nice ash, well made and very tasty.
The final inch is getting spicier and intense with a cool taste. The ash is just starting to turn white.
When I smoke one of these baby's i like the way I know I have had a cigar, so many other cigars I have tried leave me wanting more, but not these.
I could easily make these my every day smoke if they were available to me down here.
A very nice smoke and well worth buying.

I'm wondering if you liking this has to do with your NC fancy or whether I should really pick these up....damn I'm going to have to try them!

Hey Martin.
You will just have to try them mate :D

Got one of these in a bomb that came my way lately. This is the only cigar that the Oliva family actually rolls... or so that is my understanding. Think I might have to give er a spin tonight.

Thanks for the review.

Thanks for the review. I have never seen or heard of these; they sound interesting. Like you, I hate to smoke a stick and still feel wanting because there was no flavor or kick.
