Anejo's MSRP vs going rate

My local shop has Anejo Sharks and Churchill's right now. About half a dozen of each. They currently go for $19.11 for Sharks and $19.00 for the Churchills. Add %7 sales tax. Whatta ya guys think?

oh for god's sake... ridiculous prices! I was just offered a box of Sharks for $220 (shipping included)... there are 20 per box for the Sharks, so that's $11 a stick...

A lot high! I wouldn't pay over $11 a piece for the #77 and not over $13 for the churchill. Better deals to be had around Father's Day :thumbs:

Did a check on the prices we sold the Shark for in the shop this past Christmas - $10.75.

I picked up 16 out of a box of 20 Sharks (he allowed 4 per visit )around Christmas time. Passed them along to the fellers on the board.

Shop by me had them for $9.50 + tax each.

When they're available around here, it's been in the $15-25 range. They gouge the hell outta of the price, but if you ask them when they're getting an order from fuente they just look confused. Good thing someone invented the internet.

Tampa Sweetheart has (maybe had now) Anejos (all 6 sizes) at MSRP the past few days. You have to buy a box/sampler of something else to the single sticks though. Also had Hemingway Maduros and UTS in stock. :thumbs:

Eh...Because someone posted it on CF, they limited it to 2 per size versus 4 per size. I'd rather call in "off peak Fuente Season" to get the full limit.

I agreed with you, Cliff. I just emailed Darlene as my usual 2-per-year order from TampaSweetHearts and this time she only let me 2 of each size of the Anejo instead of 4. I went ahead and ordered anyway but I probably won't make an order like that again if I am allowed only 2 Anejos per size. I ordered from Christmas 04's and got 4 Anejos per size each. And I did not order the UTS. Too expensive for my taste. They did not have any A.F Hemingway SG (which I was praying that they do) and no Oups-X (Well, one size of the Forbidden which she quoted me at 25 pops and I declined). Too may CF lurkers out there during these holiday releases... Better wait for off-peak time...
