I read awhile back that they use the same filler in the anejo's as they do in the opus x's. Is this true? I love opus x's a lot!!!! but all of the anejo's I've had, have been a little disapointing. So if they use the same filler as they do in the opus's, is there a logical reason that I cant get into the anejo's? or is it just me? lol

IIRC Anejos are actually mutt filler, a mix of Opus/Hemi and maybe something else. The big difference is in the wrapper, which is where most of the flavor in a cigar comes from. The anejo is a connecticut broadleaf vs the special Opus rosado wrapper. Also Anejos have their tobacco aged for a short time in cognac barrels, which certainly changes them to my taste.

No, it is not you. In the past I heard people say, "if you love Opus you have to try this, it's the same" . Really?, After trying several of the try "these" , I have learn to say when that happens ( "if you love Opus you have to try this" ) I simply say why, when I can just buy the Opus?

I guess we all "compare", but when Cigar sales people say to me, "It the same as the Opus" I feel they are pulling on my heart stings.Maybe it is because they are out of Opus x, or just can't get them.
