I smoked one of these beauties on Thursday and it was fantastic! I had this one in my humi since last November and couldn't wait anymore.

Here's the Cliff's Notes...

The construction was perfect and had a very nice oily wrapper (mine had a little bit of bloom on it). It was slightly firm when pinched and had a great draw.

I got a ton of smoke with every puff and the taste was very good and consistent from start to finish. It's hard for me to describe the taste on this one but I would say that it was complex and full bodied. Definitely better than the Opus and didn't have the characteristic peppery taste that comes with the Opus (I personally saw this as a good thing in this case).

Overall this was an absolutely amazing smoke and one of my favorite domestics.

I strongly suggest eating before hand...I didn't and got my a$$ kicked. Fortunately I didn't start feeling gross until I was almost finished with the cigar and got some food so it wasn't too bad.

I bought a hand full of these not too long ago. I agree, a complex cigar. Sweet with a rich flavor. Anejo's are yummy!!!

Hell, they are just one of my favorite cigars period... I still like Opus X's better tho -- I like the tangy stuff. :)

Anejo's top my list of smokes. I always keep one in the humidor until I locate more. Never want to be without one. :sign:

I do my best to tag each Anejo with the release date. Gawd but they're gooood.
