Ok..First impression of this Anejo #48. This is my first Anejo EVER. Good Lord..What a beautiful and elusive stick for me to get my hands on so I have to say again...Thanks to Tone-ny and Atuck for sharing the  . I got the cap a little moist before I cut it and I didnt catch any taste at all. I cut this bad boy with ease and warmed up the foot which was interesting. Meaning that it didnt warm up like other cigars I've done. The wrapper is flawless and not a single error shown in the stick. Woot!!!

I got the bad boy lit and wow. Did I just get hit my a freight train of spices? Yes..I did...Very dominant and soooooooo yummy. I can actually taste something in a cigar. Yet, I'm not done. Oh crap..My lips started to tingle. I love this cigar. That was the first 3/4" of the cigar but now it has a creamy taste to it. The after taste is still spice heaven. It didnt have a flawless burn but it and didnt matter. I am smoking my first EVER Anejo.

Now i am going to make a reference to something I've smoked before which many probably havent and its all good. I know OpusXKC has since I've let him have some. It has a slight hint of this pipe tobacco that I hold dear and its called MacBaren's Navy Flake from a tin can. Its a subtle after taste that is the creaminess I'm picking up on. There is also a woody, earthy taste to this stick as well.

I've finally hit the middle of the stick. I've feeling real good at this point since I'm smoking this on an empty stomach which tends to be my norm so that I can truly enjoy a new smoke. The pipe smoke reference that I referred to is now gone. I'm on the last 3" of this stick. It still has a nice woody taste to it. Still a slight spice taste to it but that really has mellowed out. Still kinda creamy and the smoke isnt harsh. Smokes real cool in the mouth.

All I can say about this cigar is that it left me speechless and wanting more and more of these Anejo's. Props to AF for putting out such a wonderful stick. I'm glad I had the honor to smoke one of these. Again..Thanks Tone-ny and Atuck.

I will post a pic later. I took a self portait of me starting this bad boy up. My heads a spinning a little from this 7" long stick of wonder. I'm glad I enjoy is as well.

I've smoked quite a few of these in the past few years and once in a while I find them ever so slightly plugged. :( A small cigar poker solves the problem (I use an ice pick). I've also experienced the same problem with a few Sharks over the years.

The 48 is my favorite Añejo size

I managed to get my hands on a #48 just yesterday and I am very eagar to try it...it'll be my first Anejo as well. Great review!

Great Post, glad you enjoyed the wonderful and complex Anejo world.

Glad you enjoyed as I knew you would. Nice review on it too. I look forward to seeing reviews on the other 2 sticks as well.

One of my favs. You just have to set aside a good chunk of time to really enjoy it.

I've never had an anejo before either. I do have a few sitting in the humidor, a couple of which probably won't make it past this weekend. It looks and smells like a great stick. Come to think of it, I haven't had too many Fuentes I haven't liked.
