I know digital is the way to go and I have that in my larger humidor and a small one in my small humidor. But I have had my shares of analog hygrometers and I was curious just how many of you have had faulty ones.?.

What I mean by that, is probably four out of five that I have had ($5 ones)have either never moved or simply way off. I've adjusted the screw to put mine at proper humidity when doing a salt test after 24 hours, but then it says there permanently, never changes.

However, my buddy got a cheap plastic one in his small humidor and that thing is right on the money with his digital ones. In fact, it updates so quickly, the needle looks like a second hand on a clock, clicking as it gets to the proper Rh.

The 3 analog meters I have had were the small gold type. Generally, I have had to adjust the meter about 3 times during the first calibration to get it within %1. And I am generally happy if I am within %3. I just note the difference. I test them every 4-6 months. All will have moved from their calibration within that time period though. I don't use digital meters either. The meters are there just to show trends.
