So I ordered a fiver of PAMs from cheapercigars.com, and now I got an email stating that they are backordered, and mine won't ship out for 2 weeks.

Since I haven't had any experience with them before, I was hoping someone else could help save me the time and trouble of chasing this proverbial carrot. They've already charged me for the item, and now I can forsee them dragging this on for months, meanwhile I'm out the cash, and no cigars to show for it.

Or maybe they are actually a tight outfit, and they don't mess around like that, and all will work out just fine.

I have ordered from CheaperCigars before. There are a couple times when they informed me of a back-order, and did not ship the SOB until like two months later. I did keep records of everythings I ordered on the Internet so they won't hand me a knife with the pointed end. My guess is YUP, you are in for a long-ASS ride. You get your cigars albeit it is a long way home from where you are standing right now... :laugh:
 
Rally quite strange I've had nothing but good luck with them I've placed quite a few orders with them and been pleased every time of course I've never had the unfortunate luck of having a backordered item. So no experience with that but I do like there prices on some things and they seem to have a pretty good selection. let us know how this turns out.
 
I have bought a coupla boxes from them & had good luck, but I've heard that their stock status is not "real time," so it might be a good idea to check with them before ordering.
They do have nice pricing.

I ahve an order in with another vendor for the 5 pack PAM's and i have gotten an email stating they are on back order as well, so don't fret. take care, Rob
 
I have never placed an order with them, but billing your credit card before your order is shipped is BS.... I would wait 1-2 weeks and then call them. If they give you a hard time, dispute the charge with the credit card company.
 
For a fiver purchase I would do an ISO post on the Buy/Sell/ Group Purchase forum first. Lots of folks here are glad to help out. :thumbs:

That's a good idea, I think I'll try that, and have them cancel my order!
 
I wouldn't worry..PAM's are hard to get all over the place..I am not surprised that they were on backorder.
 
my .02, cancel the order and get them elsewhere. :angry: Nothing worst then ordering something and then finding out its backordered, poor customer service if you ask me :cool:

Ditto....to bill before they even realize something is not in stock doesn't seem to be a great customer service trait
 
Update: The charge on my card has been reversed, on their own initiative, and I'm assuming I'll be charged once the smokes are shipped.

Now the only trick is how long before they're in stock. This way I'll just keep looking elsewhere, and if I end up getting two because I've found them somewhere else, and these happen to ship out as well, then I guess that's just tough luck?
 
Which ones did you order?
There's a shop near me that stocks most of them. They have the Padron 1926 #2, #6 & #9. They're a little pricey since I also have to pay the 7% sales tax but at least they have them. I'm pretty sure they had some 1964's in stock too.
This place is also a Davidoff "White Glove" shop of which there are only 100 or so in the country so they have ALL Davidoff Millunnium Blends in stock as well as the Real Robusto <<7>> :thumbs:
 
Yeah, one way I look at purchasing those is that they are going to be great to smoke, and I'll keep em around for a while, and they can also possibly make a good P/T cigar for passes. So if I end up with few extra, so be it.

I was looking at the Superiors, and they were about $45 for the fiver. If anyone knows someone that has em in stock for about the same let me know!

Mega DITTO!! CC's should NEVER be charged before the item is shipped! :angry2: :angry2:

(should have read the whole thread before this, but the opinion still stands. Glad to see they reversed the charges.)
 
UPDATE:

I ordered those cigars on April 8th, and they still have not shipped them. I was also mistaken about them reversing the charges to me. They have my money, and I have no cigars. I have sent them an email as well as a PM to their account here, and am waiting response.

I guess we'll see what happens. I'm trying to remain patient and trying to give them a chance.
