I replied, "Now that they have been sitting for over a month in your air-conditioned warehouse, nothing. They are probably drier than dirt." Cigars that are not properly stored for longer than a month are usually worthless.

*I hear eye blinking on the other end of the phone*

"Errr Mr. Adams I meant what is the resale value of the cigars from the time they were sent."

I answered, "No idea, I didn't even know I was getting them, it does say gift on the box doesn't it?"

*more blinking*

"Mr Adams, the person who sent you the package lied on the customs form, it says "Personal Air Fresheners" on it."

I reply, "I'm guessing that since they are aromatically processed cigars, it was meant as a joke." "But if you check at a German cigar store online you'll see that the cigars are worth less than the 45€ limit."

"You'll have the box in 2 to 3 days Mr. Adams" *click*

 Well Wilkey, no putting it off any longer, except it will be you reviewing ACIDS that have been properly stored and I will reviewing dried out ones, since no way in hell are they getting near my humidor, and I'm too lazy to set up a Tupperdor for ACIDS.

Shawn

P.S. Thanks for sending them Tony, lol

lol, nice one! :)
I have to remeber what to tell to get my cigars in case of my customs officer call me ;)

but I have a question for the "Personal Air Freshnes" Bomber:
were there more than 10 smokes?

Wurm,

You should have asked about the Magnum Force sticks I sent last Monday. They do say cigars on the customs form, but I lied about the value. I said they were worth $10 dollars. I hope you get them before they are ruined. By the way the PO here told me I should ship them by air, and it would take 1 week. They told me if I ship them by sea it could take up to six months!

BT

Sorry to hear that, Shawn. Reaaaaaal sorry. That you finally got them I mean.

Yep 14 to be exact... 14 FACTORY SEALED IN THE ACID BOX!!!

Like Tony was going to open up a sealed box and take out 4 cigars...

And god help you if you order a 20 count box and forget to tell the shop to send two packages.

The whole thing is pretty stupid.

And Wilkey, Yeah bro, I bet lol

But You see, You get 14, they called You, You make fun of them, and they let 14 smokes go to their destiny without tax.

I'm wondering if it happends usually or maybe this customs officer was mr. "nice guy" and let 14 smokes go further.

And just in case I'll remember to order up to 10 smokes, because my customs officers may be less nice.

:)

Wurm they were still wrapped in the cello, so the humidity in the tin should hold them at least to some degree, I doubt they are TOO dry to smoke.

No getting out of this one, they're probably better dry cured anyway :p

lol I hope so...

Anyway, customs opened the box and the tin and left them both open for close to 4 weeks, so they are "dry-cured" for sure.

And I'm going to smoke them, regardless of what shape they are in, a promise is a promise :)

I think they did the right thing, personally. Those cigars could easily be considered bio-terrorism.

Anyway, don't sweat it, wurm... the "coating" they give these cigars gives them a shelf life approximately equivalent to a Twinkie. They'll be as "good" as ever...

Well it is good to know that they made it FINALLY! Now, I don't think I lied on the form. Those aren't cigars. Just because they are made of tobacco, doesn't make it a cigar . Glad to see that the package made it, in semi-good condition, not like they good be any worse.
