I believe I got this brom emodx (I had another Robusto in the same bag as the ones I put the one I got from emo. I am 99% sure this was his because it was loose and not in a ziploc). He did not mention it as aged, but like I said there was bloom on it. Emo's storage must be pretty damn good.

Anyways, WOW. I'm not a big cigar ager cos I am impatient. I like Opus young, but this is sublime.

Usually Opi hit me like a train wreck and it's a balancing act between not getting ahead of myself with the puffing and the nic buzz, and not letting it go out (esp. since Opi are notorious poor burners @ 70%, which is how they're sstored at most of the shops from which I get mine).

This cigar says "puff me" nonstop.

man. I can't describe it, but it's more like the subdued aged leather on the inside of a Jaguar (that's for cc) as opposed to the strong "new car smell" of a brand new sportscar. I mean the new car smell is exciting, and I'm sure most people love it, but it can be overpowering. The age just mellows everything down, and takes away a lot of the acridity and in your face POW! you get from lighting up an Opus.

I didnt' know an Opus could be this good...heck I wasn't even sure a cigar could be this good.

I;m going to have to switch to FIFO inventory control as opposed to the LIFO I tend to do know (cos the most recently purchased ones are on top).

Thanks for a great trade emo.

PS The construction, appearance, ash, etc are all A+ as usual for Opus X.

WTH does FIFO & LIFO mean ??

Term often used for stock trades and other instances.

FIFO = First In First Out
LIFO = Last In First Out

"Those are also inventory valuation methods" stated the former Cost Accountant. :)

So in other words rather than just grabbing what's near the top of my humi, which will probably be among the most recently purchased, I will dig down to find and smoke the Opi that have been in my possession the longest, which would also presumably the be oldest.
