SO I bought this monstrosity st the local shop just to buy something, I figured one day when I had lots of time to waste I'd smoke it. So what better time than the final weekend of NFL football?

Right off the bat the wrapper looked kind of spotty, color-wise. Some of the rolls were more of a rosado color, some were darker. If definitely wasn't as dark as the WOAM I smoked. It was also flaking slightly.

Punched it, lit it, burned OK. THe burn did get a little uneven, and the ash didn't want to stay on, which is very uncharacteristic of Hemingways. Little pieces of wrapper even flaked off unburnt!

The flavor was quite bland, and I actually let it go out about 2 inches into it. I clipped off all evidence of burning and am saving it.....hoping against hope it will be better later.....

WOW, that's gotta be bad if Lumby gave an unfavorable review to a Fuente :D

Hopefully Shadow's right that you just got unlucky :(

I had that happen with one of the VR Don Alejandro's I smoked last week. Every one out of this box has been fantastic EXCEPT that ONE which was so plugged I tossed it.

I guess it just happens once in a while :(

Sorry to hear you didn't enjoy your cigar. Too bad there isn't a "lemon law" for cigars, eh? If you get a clunker, you get it replaced for free? Now THAT would be nice...

Last year at Christmas a friend of mine gifted me a Masterpiece maduro that was two years old. I smoked it this past summer and was rewarded with two hours of pure cigar bliss! Razor-sharp burn and flavorful all the way to the nub.
