I saw this deal posted on another board. It is a heck of a deal. Less than half of what I have paid before on Fuente Chateau Sun Growns. I have personaly never bought from this site but here is the link for those who may be interested. AF Sun Growns And no, I am not at all affiliated with this site.
 
Looks good to me. Looking at previous posts looks like a reputable place. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks for the info!!
 
Never heard of these folks...but, at that price, I took the risk.

I figure, worst case, they are close enough that I could go knock on their door.... :whistling:

They changed the price back up to 76.55 (was 33.25). Glad I got me order in on time :D.

...hope you get 'em; bet you don't.

I called them to see what's up and they oversold their inventory by hundreds of boxes (figures). Their web page does NOT reflect actual inventory.

I complained as loudly as I could in a cube environment and they substutited something else at a fair price. Not as good as the SG deal, but it was a decent jesture, IMHO.

...we'll see if it happens. I may or may not do business with them in the future pending the outcome of this deal.

Did anyone get the confirmation email with the receipt confirming the order?

I just called them myself and was told that they only had 10 boxes in stock and did not expect to get hit up with hundreds of orders. Even though I placed my order before 7am CST this morning I did not make the list for people receiving cigars. Oh well, I guess I will have to be faster next time.
 
I got a confirmation email. I'm going to call them tomorrow, not in the mood to deal with them today :angry2:

What a bunch of morons. What did they expect when they put them at about 40% retail? The least they could have done was to say that they only had 10 boxes in stock at that price. That's just very poor customer service. :angry2: That's really a bummer - I know a lot of people from here and CF ordered them and are going to be disappointed to find out they won't get them at that price.

The details...

...so, I call them on the morning of the 25th, the same morning their web page happily accepted my order for the AFCF's at $33.25. I was going to order another box, two if they had them. Got a young lady on the phone who was clearly not having a good day. I asked her if they could add a box to my order. "..oh, the Chateau Fuente SG's..?? We only had a few boxes of those and they are long gone. My god, we've got hundreds of orders and I've got to contact every one of them." I asked her if they were going to issue rain checks and she said no. I told her that was pretty dissapointing as their system let me order them, then sent me a confirmation. She said, "well, my boss said to offer deals on some other Fuente's. Would you be interested?" I told her maybe; she asks about some Double Chateau's and I tell her I really wanted smaller smokes; I really wanted the Chateau Fuente's. She says, "...well, how about regular wrapper for $49.95 a box?" I said "..I'll take two.." and she says "...my last two but you were nice about this and you can have them." Yeah.... :p

They arrived here the next day (very close to Vancouver) and were well packed, and in perfect shape. Not as smoking hot of a deal as the SG's, but a decent deal nontheless.

So, here's my take - they seem like nice folks but their web site is clearly not linked to inventory or orders in any way. My order for the SG's is still listed on the site, yet the order I got isn't there. I think I'll watch for other insane prices but if I find a deal I'll call them rather than rely on the web page.

I was going to call Lil Brown back the next morning about this, but then got their email which just annoyed me. They offered a list of cigars they will discount, and not discounted at the deal they were giving for the AF SG, then say while supplies last...then say if you don't want these cigars or they run out they'll give you free shipping on the next order.

Based on the original deal they offered and confirmed that I was getting, I thought this new offer sucked. I probably could have picked something, but figured why reward these guys with my business and order something I really don't want because they screwed up.

Didn't even bother calling them because I just want my money back and don't want to deal with them again....done venting.

I hear what you are saying. Truth is, I'd been looking for some AFCF's anyway, and while the SG's would have been very desirable, they offered me a decent deal on something I was looking for anyway. Don't see them replacing any of my regular vendors, methinks.....

I detest vendors like this. You waste your time creating an account, placing an order, etc etc, and then they screw you. They offered cigars at a price, I accepted, they should make good. Period.

I will never order from there, and in fact, will actively steer people from them.
