This cigar was started on my way to friends to watch the Patriots total dismantle the Colts. I recorded some notes and that is what this review consists of.
The trip was a 45 minutes so a stogie was in order and I chose to smoke this one, which I receive generously from Mike at Costa Rica Cigar Store.

First impression: It was light tan in color with a small rip near the band, double cap, Hand made with little tiny hairy bits on the leaf still recognizable and a vein wrapped around the longleaf. The foot smelled of a mild honey and cedar with out many other characteristics besides mellow tobacco. The band was nicely decorated, although dark, with everything that reminds me of Costa Rica (CR), a really great looking Cigar. Loving Costa Rica as much as I do I really wanted to like this Cigar.

So, I trimmed the head, a puff to check the draw and then I sparked the foot.

First puff- Nice Draw, I well rolled cigar, it really lit up as I puffed on it. The flavor was definitely mild and that is what it was supposed to be, so job well done- Unfortunately I love cigars with a little more spice or full bodacious smoke. The first puff gave me more sweet honey mellow flavor that would be nice first thing in the morning with a coffee in the same nature.

(earlier in the day while walking through the mall I was sprayed by a perfume lady (I thought they stopped this practice) and it might have clouded my nose a little)

The ash held on nicely. I usually like to leave the ash on to insulate the tobacco allowing it so smoke as apposed to burning and this ash held up nicely.

The first third burned to a shiny grey/black zebra striped ash without much change in flavor from foot to knee- nice tobacco flavor leaving a nice taste of fresh bright sweetness in my mouth.

The next third provides a hint of grassy flavor- in a good way- and more of the bright sweet tobacco that continues to dominate this smoke- I hoping the grassy flavor is a hint that it is gaining some intensity or evolving into more complicated flavors.

I really wish I reviewed Mike's more full body options and saved this one for a read of the morning paper or a long morning drive. I would have enjoyed this earlier in the morning.

The burn started to go off on one side so I laid off it awhile and it evened up.

As the cigar finished it opens up to some creamy flavors with the grass turning to a woodsy cedar taste while the smoking Tobacco still providing plenty of smoke. When I carefully removed the band the wrapper ripped even more.

The honey sweetness was present throughout and the smoke was flavorful through the body. I kept hoping for more flavor as I smoked, the development of the earthy notes was all I perceived, still it was a nice change for someone who consistently smokes a maduro and allows one to enjoy a natural Connecticut wrap. I would not call the Adrian a complex cigar but it serves the purpose as a mild starter to a wonderful day. This was a cigar I enjoyed.

A solid 86.

Smoke time: 50 minutes at 65% humidity

Sounds like a nice smoke , pity it had to rip, I love cigars with a grassy taste.

Sounds good. I just put in a small smapler order for these:

Dignity Gold Robusto
Fundacion Ancestral Pinar Del Rio Robusto
Vogel Red Robusto
Cumbres de Puriscal Toro

These are all CR puros and I am really looking forward to trying these to see what CR tobacco is like. I'll post reviews when I receive them.
