To the experienced smoker, this cigar is most likey really nasty. They call them the "Rebirth of cigars". They have an aroma closely resembling Patchouli(one person said "rose petals"). They have a really sweet/spicy tip(like Life cereal). Maybe these could be.. Breakfast cigars?. Anyone else tried these?. Maybe someone can give a better description(wrapper, binder etc).

Nope never had one, however a little bird told me I'm about to come into more ACID cigars than you can shake a puke bucket at... :p

Oh me and my big mouth lol

For more info go here...

Me too. However did I get sucked into that? Everyone knows that Acids can't hold a candle to real, quality flavored cigars like Moonies. :whistling:

Wilkey

MOONTRANCE!!

So Wilkey my brother, we going to do a two man taste test like the boys did with the CI Legends?

That would be pretty cool, my wife already told me there is no way in hell she is going to let me smoke them all in one sitting. She said my life insurance isn't high enough lol

Let me know

*edit* to add link.

That's right. This is going to be a tough pitch but let's hope it doesn't turn out to be last man standing.

PM me when yours arrive (mine will take longer... as usual) and we will figure out which one to smoke first.

Even if they suck, it will be fun :)

Okay, I saw the "Moonies" at the store today. Now, were you being sarcastic as to them being good flavored cigars? Orrrr.. Is there no such thing as a "good" flavored cigar?. Inquiring newbies want to know

If you want to get a reminder what a good premium cigar is like and why you smoke them instead...have a Moontrance. It will give you a reminder why you want better smokes. But Ginseng likes them for some reason.

I wouldnt worry about it as Wilkey's bomb should land tomorrow. But I was generous with him as he has to smoke some nasty dog rockets, he has a nice prize to make up that terrible experience. But he likes Moontrances so he may LOVE Acid cigars.

I actually started smoking cigars seriously with a box of acid kuba kuba's I purchased last winter. Then I found a cigar forum that introduced me to a real cigar a.k.a. Fuente products. Since then I haven't looked back.

On a serious note, the Acid's are a great cigar for people who are completely new to cigars. Then once they have smoked a few of them, throw a Hemingway Maduro their way and they too, will never look at another acid.

I cannot imagine trying the whole acid line ever, much less in a short interval of time. IMHO this can only lead to tears :p

I've smoked most of the Acids, and the bigger ones get tiresome before you even get halfway down. It's definitely a beginner cigar, so it's a good way to get those college kids interested in cigars, and in fact when I started smoking, the Acid's were great... until the Gurkha Special Ed. Coronas... then the Fuente Don Carlos.... then the Romeo Y Julieta 130th Ann. But I digress.

I still appreciate an occasional Blondie or the Krush Classics, or even a Nasty since by the time you're sick of it, you're done already.

The Acid line is part of the Drew Estate company. I dont know how new they are, but I bought a Drew Estate Natural today, just havent tried it. Theres still ALOT I havent tried yet. Thus, the bonus' of being in a pass of a trade :)

Well,

I just got Mr Peat's package today. He did indeed send me an Acid Sampler and I have opened it up to inspect the cigars. I can honestly say that I have never smoked anything that smelled like these things. The smell is sort of trippy and not really oboxious. But in the context of a cigar, it's just wrong. Dead wrong. I'm thinking this smells like the kind of incense hippies light to hide the maryjane stink. Not that I'd know anything about that.

This is going to be the greatest challenge of my cigar smoking career.

Wilkey
