I just got a 5-cigar sampler from [insert country], some sticks I just had to try. Probably gonna smoke a couple of them this weekend. Tell me some opinions before they go up in smoke!

Montecristo Nr. 2
Partagas Serie D No. 4
Diplomaticos No. 2
Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure Nr. 2
H. Upmann Magnum 46

I've had the Serie D No.4 before, and it was excellent. I can always let my friend try it though. I have high expectations for these sticks :)

Really nice sampler. All of them great smokes. Don't have enough room here to rave about them properly.

One thought though, why don't you edit your post and remove the origin of the sticks. That treads closely on talking about sources and we don't want to go there. Just kind of cleans things up. Remember, it is illegal for you to purchase Cuban cigars. ;)

Enjoy the sticks.

Sorry, dumb American mistake. Didn't realize you were from Finland. Ignore everything but enjoy the sticks. :p

Nice selection! The Diplo #2 is my favorite and the Monte #2 is a close second. I've heard nothing but good reviews of the H. Upman Mag. 46. :D

Enjoy, Brother!

Well I edited just to be on the safe side! :0 The responses for my sampler make me want to smoke some right now. Must fight urge.

You gotta a nice selection there - you might want to let them sit for just a little bit (6 months or so). Age does wonders for all of those!!!

Oh man, 6 months? I know that's not even a lot, but this is just a sampler (one of each) and I can't wait that long :p I should get more of them sometime and age them.

OK, now that I have the shoe-leather out of my mouth, I'll post about the cigars.

I'm with Floyd, the Diplo #2 is probably my favorite ISOM. It's big brother, the Monte #2 is hard to beat when it is on. I just happen to think that the Dip is more complex than the Monte. I just had my first Mag. 46, you can read my review on it here. The HdM Epicure No. 2 is another favorite of mine. Great, bold smoke, lots of flavor, ages wonderfully.

You've got some of the best of the best. Enjoy.

All personal favorites except for the Diplo #2. These just don't do it for me. Love the Diplo 4's though

I must say, the most recent Diplo #2's I have had have been excellent. The Mag 46, for me, is just a great smoke. Good choices.

I hate to be the spoil sport, but ifn' your tastes are like mine, you better lose your high expectations. PD4 is one of my favorites and the Epi is a good smoke. Upmanns, Montecristos and Diplomaticos (along with Juan Lopez) are at the bottom of my heap. In fact there are NCs I'd rather have over those.
