I was fortunate enough to have been gifted a couple of these on CF and I decided to smoke one today. The full name escapes me but these were offered on CF as a first release to the first 100 CFers who emailed their credit card numbers. They came 13 in a box, each cigar had its own numbered band.

This is probably one of the most beutiful wrappers I've ever seen, dark and oily with a beautiful prelight! The contruction was perfect and it sported a simple white band with a 4 digit number. Mine was in the 4000's.

The clip was perfect and upon lighting it, I was delighted with rich plumes of smoke!! This cigar started and finished with much complexity. My palate isn't that refined but I tasted many flavors from this cigar throughout the hour and a half that I smoked it! It was perfect in every way!

There were a few people in the shop where I was smoking that asked what cigar it was as the aroma was intoxicating! The ash was white and the burn was razor sharp. I can't say I have enjoyed many smoked like I did this one. I nubbed this one and saved the band for my collection. It was one of the best domestics I've had the pleasure of smoking. This smoke had a kick in the last third as it actually made my lips tingle a bit. Many flavors come to mind.....coffee, roasted nuts, spices, and some others that I can't quite put my finger on.

If these come out this year, I'll definitely try to get more!

I would give this one a 98 as the only problem I had was in the last third, it went out a few times!

:D

Sounds yummy. Keep your ear to the ground and let us know what they are before anyone else finds out. LOL Make sure to keep a couple for long term ageing and trading. Pre-release are useually hoarded and traded for later. LOL

Since I switched to a new computer, I haven't loaded my camera software on there yet. I need to do this, then I'll post some pics on here!

WOW, great review. Now I am off to post another ISO 13's thread over at CF so I can look like a dumbass!!!!

LMAO!!!

Can't wait until these are released, and yes please do let us know if you hear anything about the release of these.

These smokes have had my mouth wattering for quite some time now.

Oh yea, and I agree with Lee, this was a great cigar. Here's a cut and paste from CF about this cigar:

For several years now, Carlito has been working on a very special cigar in honor of his grandfather.

He has made this cigar not only to commemorate his grandfathers' heritage but also to lead his company into its next century.

This cigar will be packed in a box of 13. Why 13 cigars?

Arturo Fuentes life was 85 years long, 8 and 5 equals 13. The brand Arturo Fuente was founded in 1912, when you add 1,9,1 and 2 together it equals 13. Ever since he was a little boy, Friday the 13th has always been a very lucky day for Carlos Fuente Sr. Still, to this day, 13 is his favorite number. There are many other reasons for a box of 13 but I will leave that to Carlito to share with you later.

Carlito has always known in his heart that a cigar so special to him personally, could only be first released directly to his Cigarfamily.

Carlito also knows that his Grandfather would be so very proud to have a cigar made in his honor, to commemorate his lifetime of success, failure and perseverance donated to give Children hope, opportunity and a chance at a better life. Therefore, per Carlito's request, 100% of the purchase price of these boxes will go directly to the Cigar Family Charitable Foundation.

There are only 100 of these boxes made. Each cigar comes with a simple white band that has a reproduction of Arturo Fuentes actual signature and an individual number. This first release will only be made available to Cigar Family members.
