I have a small humidor that holds maybe 50 smokes and right now it's full to capacity, in fact the lid almost doesn't close. My question is, can overloading the humidor screw up the humidity? It's been at 60 for a long time, but since I've been smoking and decreasing the number of smokes, it's now at 65 constantly.

Also, I noticed everyone uses beads here. I purchased humidor fluid from the local smoke shop before I met you guys. So once this fluid is gone, you'd recommend beads instead?

thanks.

Ofocurse overloading can screw up the humidity... send those smoke to me and it will be ok.

;)

And about beads, You can find them h e r e

The more dry cigars you put in your humidor, the more humidity they are going to soak up until everything evens out. So, there's nothing really wrong with a fully loaded humidor so long as you fill it slowly and let the humidity maintain.

If the humidor is too full to close, then you've got leaks and an obvious problem.

Obvious solution is to just start smoking some of them, though. :)

Time to invest in making a coolidor for extra storage. I recommend beads as they are easy to work with...
