This isn't a full review, but some folks had been asking about the 601 line and I thought I'd throw in my .02. Between TR and Sun, I was fortunate enough to squeeze in 3 cigars. I made it a Don Pepin weekend. TR I smoked the JJ series (white label), Saturday I tried the blue label and Sunday I had the 601 Habano (red label). I enjoyed the JJ the most, but not so much due to the blend. It was a torpedo 6.0 x 54 (I think) and it was smoked indoors. The other two I smoked outside and it was windy as a mother this weekend in lovely NE Minneapolis.
I found the flavors of all three of these cigars to be very similar and enjoyable. The construction was very good, and each burned evenly without the need for assistance (even in the wind). They had that typical Nicaragua/Don Pepin/full body taste without the complexities that one would get out of the Tatuaje line. I won't comment on the Padilla line, as I haven't tried any but the Achilles.
I'll definitely be buying more of these cigars, however, I'll pay more attention to the size and price than I will the color of the label. And for a special occasion, I'll dig a little deeper into the pockets and go with a Tat.
