Hey all-
due to the great response to our blend #7 offer :D ,
and the great number of comments about wetness and aging :0 , we took an interesting step.

We pulled 10,000 more #7s out of colder/dryer longterm storage and brought them here to the OUTLET...They just cleared customs, and I have personally smoked 5 of them in the last 24 hours
NO softness or wetness. No hint of ammonia.
Firmer ash razor-sharp burn
and spice SPICE SPICE
these are traditional 6x50 toros
Same Deal 50 for $25 $5s&h visa/mc/check
We'll call these #7Reserva
Till the website is finished (almost there),
call in 888-231-1082
or email cigarFO@aol.com
Thanks guys

I must have missed the "great response" posts, because all I've read are posts about lackluster taste, moldy cigars and inferior customer service due to poor communication. ;)

Customer service has improved considerably, Kirk. It isn't the mistakes a vendor makes that defines him, it how he deals with the mistakes. CFO seems to have the right perspective. However, if instant gratification is a requirement, keep looking.

edit: I want to clarify the above by saying I have feeling that Paul and Barbara are honestly trying to make CFO a respectable vendor, but haven't found their "system" for communication and shipping. I now have a bundle of the box pressed and a wheel of #7. I had one of the box pressed and was disappointed. I'll post again when I've had two of each, but I'm not holding much hope for the box pressed.

Taste is subjective. I'm not suggesting that you guys NOT do business, just that you know what you're doing.

Well I got one of these deals and after a week or so of rest time I took some to the local shop for a round table tasting.

Results were mixed. Several of us tried these with myself and a friend smoking two of them each.

Some guys liked them. Some liked the first third to half and then the cigar turned and they put it down. A couple others did not like them at all.

The ones I tried were a mixed bag. One was a nice medium full flavor with nice spice notes throughout. The other started out like the first, but turned harsh about half way through. My friend enjoyed both of the ones he smoked.

Some uneven burns here and there, but nothing real major. I am not sure if some more down time would improve them, but with the mix of sticks that turned sour half way through, it would be worth checking out.

For 50 cents a pop, these would make a good yard gar or something that you would not feel bad about having to put out if your smoke time was cut short.
