Hello all, new to these forums and thought I'd start out with a quick review of my latest humidor. This is the first large one I have bought. Up until now I have been using a 20 count desktop and 2 tuperware containers. My 5 Vegas humidor arrived on Friday and couldn't wait to start seasoning it as my other humidors are bursting at the seams. The 5 Vegas humidor comes with 1 Humi-Care Crystal Humidification Jar, a rectangle foam humidifier and an analog hydrometer. I did a light wipe down, filled both humidifiers and let sit all weekend. After 3 days the box seems to have a great seal on it. The humidity is sitting a little high ( around 74%), so I took out one of the humidifiers and will let it sit a little longer. The hydrometer has been sitting in a salt bag for about 12 hrs and is only reading 60%. It was reading 65 in the humidor, so I put a calibrated digital in and it was reading 74%. The adhesive on both the hydrometer and humidifier where not sticky on arrival so guess I'll be heading out to get some replacement. The exterior of the box is quite nice looking. I like the brand name look versus the plain humidors so I'm loving the looks of this one. Hopefully in the next day or two I can get the humidity right so I can fill it up. All in all, Id say if it wasn't for the the 30 cigars that came with it, it would not be worth the price. I had missed a couple for alot cheaper on ebay ( damn last second bidders).
