Decided to fire up one of this years batch of Anejo's. I am a Fuente Ho but I had never had an Anejo prior to this evening. This is my 1st attempt at a review so although I may not be nuanced in the particular bouquet of flavors subtle as they are,(Honey with a hint of leather that lingers...WTF :0 ) Well anywho here we go.
Appearance - 9 A beautiful madura wrapper with a slight oil on the skin
Construction - 9 A very solid cigar
Draw - 10 Simply butter from end to end
Burn - 9 slight angle at one point but corrected itself and only 1 relight towards the end
Taste- 7 I enjoyed the taste but found it to be not much different the the 8-5-8 madura's that I enjoy. I look forward to putting some age on these and revisiting.
Bottom Line I give it a 44 out of 50.
