This was a beautiful cigar to enjoy on a fine Sunday afternoon. I was gifted this cigar from a very special BOTL, and it was definitely worth the wait. This Corona was from 2001, and as I removed it from it's tube, I wasn't shocked to see the band had yellowed. The sweet smell of aged tobacco was overwhelming, and I couldn't wait to sacrifice it to the god of fire.

I cut the head, took a prelight draw, and to my dismay I found it was a little plugged. No matter, as I didn't want to cut more of this precious tobacco and let it go to waste! I lit her up, and sat back with an ice cold glass of natural apple juice:

This cigar is so smooth, it also feels like you're smoking a pipe. The smoke has no bite to it, but rather complex flavors of caramel, vanilla, and butter come through. About halfway through, I started getting lightheaded, which surprised me! I'm usually a very strong cigar smoker, and not much phases me. I suppose the rumor of the "extra ingredient" in these island treats has to be true!

All in all, it was a very enjoyable cigar, and I am sad to report that it was my only one. If you ever have a chance to light one of these guys up on a special day, go for it! Happy Father's Day!

*Sorry for the pictures, my regular camera is on the fritz!

Great review, Johnathan! I love it when a cigar is buttery smooth like that, it makes you wish the entire time that it wouldn't end.

Great review and pictures! Sounds like agreat experience!

Great review Souldog, I think I'll try apple juice the next time I smoke, never thought to pair it with a cigar.
Glad to see that cool cigar band table in the background, it's nice.

Nice review, Jon. I've been told the nic increases as they age. Couldn't prove, or verify it. Just something I was told.

What's a "Fritz"
