Sometimes I think my B&M sells from his private collection when he's broke. Not to hard to imagine a small shop being in trouble due to economy, price hikes, SCHIP, etc. But I digress.
He sold me the Jamaican Macanudo churchill with a 1993 band on it (pictured below). He's certain the tobacco may have been from then, but obviously rolled a few years later. Still - you can see the yellow cello (I know no one likes a rhymer). I also assume it was his because of how well it was kept - felt as springy and fresh as anything new. From the first light it was a beauty - almost Cuban-esque (not that I am a regular ISOM smoker) - but still you can sense what I mean. Robust but not spicy, smooth yet interesting the entire smoke. Burned a little fast probably because 1) I'm a puffer and 2) heck it could be the 15+ year old tobacco. Can't imagine I'll find too many of these. Didn't even let it "rest," and thank goodness because it was simply a great smoke to have on a spring day here in CT.
