    Late 80s Cohiba Lancero

Totally agree Andrew. There is nothing worse than having high expectations for a cigar only to be let down especially after waiting sometimes years or even decades. Bob

    Late 80s Cohiba Lancero

Nice review and pics Rob. I agree these are some of the best cohiba's ever produced and quite rare these days. I haven't fired one of these up in quite some time. It looks like I'll have to dig one out now. I have never had a plugged one from this vintage. Goes to show you what the quality was...

    Well I was wrong.

I completely understand the concept of making good on a trade or comittment. Having said that it is quite a shame that this has come to this. Wilkey has given far more to this community than he has ever taken. His dedication, analysis and pursuit for answers have been invaluable to CP. The...

Are these legit? Can you tell?

Unfortunately these are most likely fakes. First thing is the serial number on the warranty label does not coincide with a 07 box release. Second, the halogram should only be on boxes purchased in Cuba. You purchased these from a vendor so there should be no halogram unless someone purchased...

    Open boxes

All Cuban cigars are sealed at the factory. When cigars are stored by Habanos S.A. at their warehouse it is common that qualiy control reopens certain boxes at their descretion. They are also resealed. In this particular case it is more likely that the vendor opened this box and not recieved...
