    Impress without going broke?

Marco Plo gave some great advice given the price range, the experience will be as important in impressing as the smoke. The padron 000's, Oliva V lanceros and LFD Coronados Though bthe advice to spend on The Padron 1964s, given your goal is sound counsel. I find the pricipe or exclusivo nats...

Best mild cigar you ever had

True, but they have alot more going on than the Partagas. Plus, there is something about smoking a legend that is not being replaced :)

Best mild cigar you ever had

LOL @ Devil Doc. He ain't operating on me! I liked the Avo LE 07s too. ERDM Choix Supreme, HdM especially aged Double Coronas, Montesino. Hade to admit it, but for a mild morning cigar I liked the Partagas 150s and even the 160s, just not worth the price

Souldog, I am sorry if I my comment didn't clearly express my thoughts. My intent was not to stir coals and I cetainly I hope that I haven't. Based on your posts, particularly where you pointed out that this was a chess amtch worth observing, I would have thought that you too agreed that this...

    Freedom Tour 2008 Dates/Locations

While work kept me from getting there until it was half done, I am glad that I decided to go better late than never. I'm going to offer a picture of the event to those who weren't there so this may drag on a bit. Firstly, it gave me the opportunity to briefly meet two fine gents from this board...

    hmmmmmmm

There are a couple of great orientation type threads (bbguide, etc.) for people to read when joining this community. However, none compare to this for educating my fellow newbies as to the perils of mistaking an internet community for swimming. Clearly, here it is best to stick your toes in...

    Freedom Tour 2008 Dates/Locations

lol I got the name because I originally signed up on another cigar board with a name that turned out to be similiar to the nick of an fog there. In deference to his seniority I changed my name. At the time my grandson had the habit of always pulling one sock off and leaving one sock on.

    Cohiba Robusto

Lucasbuck, you are right $12 per stick wouldn't be so bad. I have not found them for that price point though. Kind of figured there was no substitute, but I had to ask. That Cohiba favor is just awesome, and as noted above these are particulary good. Agreed, you are screwed and unless...

    Padron Cigars - amazing smokes

You've never had to relight/touch up an Opus X? I too am an Opus fiend (great along with isoms to smoke between Padrons  ) but especially fresh I find that I can't set the lighter aside till I've nubbed it. Also, with the exception of some 80ths, Padrons have always been as ready to...
