The tax is capped. Meaning cheaper cigars will be a greater % more than the more expensive cigars when compared to the tax-free prices. The JLP are around 2/stick online compared with the La Flor at around 4/stick. Canadian prices are messed up anyway, so that could just be it too. RyJs...

I wouldn't have a problem putting my humi in a smoking room. That is just my personal opinion though...not at all based on experience.

Water pillows are IMO a must have when shipping cigars. I always keep a few in my coolidor to keep the RH up and so that they are ready to go. They also work great in my cigar-caddy...much easier then the foam in the lid. That and the fact that they are a steal at 40-50 cents a piece.

Well, it could be a lot worse...at least it was only 2 boxes. Now you have a trustworthy vendor and that is key. Some pretty strange looking authentic cigars and boxes come out of Cuba, but there are no worries if you know your vendor.

QC I could see if it was sporatic or just affected one box, but when they are all tight it leads me to believe the hight RH is the culprit. Granted 99-01 were not the best years for QC.

I've had a vendor try to tell me that this was plume as well.

Try giving them time at 60-62%. I try to keep my RH below 65% and generally don't have draw issues.
