We had a 2008 bottle a few months back, yes its a unique beer. Not your typical IS, more port -like then anything, but I would favor Hercule Stout or Serpents Stout or Stone IRS or Abyss when its RIS vs. RIS .... IMHO, I know I am comparing a BA version to DL but FiftyFifty Eclipse BA versions...

Hey guys I just some good news last night and I won't be attending tonight's HERF. Just got word my mother's cancer undetectable from her recent scan ... see you guys next week!

Had a bottle of Iron Fist Velvet Glove which was delish ... smooth, creamy, and semi sweet. Folowed by new release of the Abyss. Man no bueno, woke up late for work.

This weekend had a Jolly Pumpkin La Parcela ... at first it was not bad then after half way it started leaving a funky after taste in the mouth. Did like it too much. Cleansed the palate with a couple Nugget Nectars and Sculpin :love:

I say send them some Pigs Ass Porter and send the BA Smellysell Vanilla Porter to me :D

Well, we had a very small turnout but it was great! I had planned a big beer lineup but with just 3 of us I didnt think that was a wise thing considering Jeff and Billy had to drive home. This was partially what we were planning on drinking especially with the 7 who were suppose to show up...

I want to personally say THANK YOU to John (jfields) for sending some nice brews to include in my tasting tomorrow ... way too generous! Ok guys looks like we have some more to add to the lineup .. WoOt!

Last night had a El Camino (Un)Real Black Ale, wow this has evolved into a nice beer. Hops have faded but strong coffee, coco and leather flavors. Wish I had more :(
