Thanks guys. Fired her up this morning with some Dunhill Elizabethan Mixture. Very cool and sweet smoke, only one or two relights all the way down to the bottom. Very little dottle. I'm impressed!
Picked up a vintage Peterson on eBay. She looked pretty rough to start, but after a little cleaning she turned out pretty well! It's a 106 billiard, with "Peterson (over) Dublin and London" on one side, which dates it between 1949 and 1959 when they had an office in London. Made in Dublin...
It's been purely Escudo and Dunhill Elizabethan Mixture. It has a nice little spice aroma in the bowl. It's a great pipe, but it always leaves me wanting more. She passes a pipe cleaner straight through. I'd also be open to letting it go for $70 shipped.

I am impressed by this pipe! Granted my experience is limited, but it provided a great smoke without much fuss. I had a few relights, but I have no doubt it was due to my inexperienced packing. I see a few more Dunhills on the rack before too long.
Maybe I'll throw some ideas out there. For pipe tobacco, I enjoy blends like Escudo, Dunhill Elizabethan Mixture, Dunhill Navy Rolls, pretty much any Virginia blend. For cigars, I like Bolis, Upmanns, Ramon Allones, the usual suspects.<br /><br />
