    5 Vegas "A" Artisan

Jeffro: I agree ! These cigars are a great value. I smoked one with Cohibasurfer the other night while watching Monday Night Football and we were both impressed. His comment was that this cigar would probably age well. We'll see: I picked up two boxes on CB and they're resting in my igloodor...

    TinderBox Blends

Wilshire (also known as Marina Mist in some of the older Tinder Boxes) is always a favorite, as is North Sea. I would suggest you try some of the "English" blends they offer: Sherlock and Balkan. These are un-flavored blends with some of the heavier Turkish tobaccos. They smell sort of like a...

    Tsuge

Tsuge pipes are supposed to be the best pipes coming out of Japan. I BELIEVE (not sure) that they are made by one man and his sons. They are very rare and pricey. I have never even seen one in person. There is a lot of info on the internet; just do a search and you'll find all the info you...

    Best Tequilla

My favs are Lapiz (the blue bottle) Arroyo Negro and Espolon. Siete Lequas gold or anejo is wonderful also, but not imported into the US last time I checked.

    The 2005 Ford Mustang

I think the '05 is a step in the right direction, but I'm still saving my money for a '67 fastback ! And in my part of rural central California, Ford stands for: Flipped Over Reservation Decoration The local tribe members (including several good friends) all swear by Fords, in a...

    Super Bowl Cigar Pool 2005

Congrats Bill ! I apologize for not replying more quickly. The morning after Super Bowl I left town for three days on a business trip and have been trying to catch up ever since. I will mail your winnings tomorrow and PM you the Confirm #. Good job on your picks and thanks for not letting...

No thanks... I like to chew on them...

Rod: Now, if you'd been smoking your pipe, you could have offered him a small handfull of tobacco to chew on. I'd like to see him try to deep-throat that ! Actually, for extremely wet cigars, a burning log from the fireplace works best. This is why Bill Clinton always had a fire...

Pipe Filters - Do you need them?

In defense of corncob pipes.... They are good smokes : cool and dry. They are cheap, so if you drop one and run over it with the lawn mower, who cares ? I keep a couple at home to try different tobaccos. I normally smoke the so-called "English" blends and if I want to try a new...

    Pipe Forum

Treamayne: Based on your pictures, the pipes appear to have very little carbon buildup on the inside of the bowl. They should be fine to smoke. I would do the stem refurbishment as described by Guyana and get to smokin' ! :D

    Hoyo Sumatra

Agreed ! These are great smokes. I smoke the "Ebano" size on a regular basis, which is 6 x 45. :D

    Montecristo - No.5 - My first one

Joe : If you thought the Monte No. 5 was strong, wait til you try the San Cristobol El Pricipes ! To my taste they are just as spicy, but quite a bit heavier (richer). The two I sent you are from Dec 2003, so they have a little age on them. I found them fairly smooth, but...

    La Gloria Cubana Reserva

I smoked one of the small ones (Flechas Especiales). It was a beautifully made long perfecto; very impressive to look at. It also smelled wonderful prior to lighting, very rich and spicy. I smoked it and enjoyed it, but about halfway through I realized that it tasted EXACTLY like a regular...

    Newb here!

Welcome to the CP family ! :D If you have a glass top over your desk, table or bar counter, you can put the cigar bands underneath the glass. It looks even better with a black background (construction paper or felt). It's quick and easy to do and it looks pretty cool. ;)
