Watches; relegated to Fashion Accessory or still "needed"?

I like watches. Always have even as a kid when my parents gave me a Mickey Mouse watch. And there are times when I just don't want to carry my phone.

Trying to decide on a new vehicle and need help/input please

I have an 09 Mercedes coupe. Its a gas vs. diesel. While I have had good experience with my first MB, the comments on expensive maintenance are accurate. Most owners of MB I know trade when the warranty expires due to maintenance expenses. I think this same math would apply for Audi and BMW.   I...

    Bourbon Run to KY

So if I want Eagle Rare 17, Sazerace 18 I am pretty much SOL ? I do not have any real connections in the liquor distribution business which is one fustercluck in Ga.  The local bottle shop has a list, but from what I see it really does not matter much. They even have a list fro Blantons. I mean...

    Bourbon Run to KY

Mostly the Buffalo Trace brands, the Eagle Rare 17, Sazerac 18, maybe the experimental brands. Or a Pappy if I can find it and afford it. Party City or whatever it was called had a whole isle of bourbons many of which I never see outside KY. It was a store on the main drag, past Keeneland I think.

    Bourbon Run to KY

Some years back I would be in the Lexington area for personal reasons in the fall and stop at a local shop to stock up on bourbon. With the current run on bourbons and the lack of stock in the Atlanta area, I was checking to see if its worth a drive to Ky. I know most distiller start to bottle...

    Sindicato cigars

I picked one of the Affinity cigars this weekend. The description on their web sight is accurate, and a nice smoke especially if its a football saturday or sunday where yo may be smoking a few and do not want to taint your taste buds too early.

    Today's smoke - 2014

Viaje Exclusivo Double Edged Sword II   I had really wanted to try this cigar. I was disappointed. It had a definite sourness to it and seemed really heavy on nicotine. Its an expensive cigar in my view, and for this price point there are way better choices.

    Scotland votes No. Surprised ?

I have to say I am a bit surprised by the no vote. But I was also mistaken when I though Quebec would vote to leave Canada.

This Would Suck! Whiskey From Scotland Going Up, If...

The tax factor applies to US bourbon as well. I did a tour at Buffalo Trace a few years back and the guide explained that one reason aged bourbon was more expensive (and this is in 2007 before the current boom) is that Treasury/ATF tax the barrel each year. So, evaporation and taxation means...

    Today's smoke - 2014

JD Howard Reserve 46. Very nice. First time I have had one to try. I believe it may have some age on it, but a nice medium to full smoke with a lot of flavor and paired well with black coffee.

    WTF?

Jack Kennedy smoked Cubans. Jack consorted Marilyn Monroe. I think this is the reference line for measuring.

    The Decade Contest

Just to clarify, please post answers on this thread. The design of this contest is not some egocentric effort on my part, but to hopefully illustrate the fun of CigarPass over the past ten years, and maybe even rattle out some of the older members who have gone silent. To avoid any doubt, this...

    Thank you to Rod

Rod,   I wanted to post my thanks and appreciation for CigarPass. While not the most active of posters, I have enjoyed this sight for ten years. A lot has changes since Sept. 7, 2004, but the integrity and community I found then has not. So my sincere thanks to you for maintaining this sight.  ...

    The Decade Contest

Well, as of today, I have had the pleasure of being a party of the CigarPass community for a decade. Wow, it amazing what has changed, and the name of posters that have come and gone.    First, I want to thank Rod for sponsoring this community. When I found CigarPass some ten years ago, there...

    List your favorite cigar lounge

2 selections for my current and former residences:   Le Casa de Tobacco, Atlanta, Ga.   1. Pablo Nunez, good friend. 2. Friendly, but...you need a thick skin depending on the crowd. 3. Two seating areas, each with a flat screen TV.    Nice cigar selection, convenient location.   And if your in...
