Agreed. The King B is hands down the worst Fuente product I have ever smoked. The handful that I didn't toss because they had tar issues all had an awful taste, one that I think Alan is being very kind by addressing as "funny."
It'll be interesting to see what an aluminum tube does to improve...
Teaching, taking classes, burning several hundred pages of a manuscript, all while trying to stay alive.
Pace got a little too much for me. I'm still around, though I'm not able to contribute much given the time constraints.
How ya been, Bruce.
All the major price cuts I've seen have been on vintage (99-01) stock. Quality varies, mostly hit and miss, but some outstanding cigars can be found for cheap. This has more to do with the fact that this type of stock hasn't moved for the past decade because of concerns over construction/...
Looks like an error. Not common today with current production, however it does not surprise me considering the amount of problems Cuba had with quality during the time.
Never could stop reading Anna Karenina part way through and pick it up again later. I think that's what makes Tolstoy painful; you almost got to read his books in one sitting.
Been reading The Ballad of Trenchmouth Taggart. Not bad.
Neal,
Agreed. The thread should remain open. This pattern seems to go back years. It's important for those involved to step up and step up now. No way should this shit have been allowed to go on for as long as it did.

John,
Thanks for coming out and publicly saying this.

It's profoundly important to make an issue like this public the minute it goes down so the rest of the community is aware of it and newer members and established members don't...
Phil's got a good point. The difficulties of managing an objective pass like this with a rare cigar without MSRP can be frustrating. The way Mike and I handled the CF 10 pass was to allow members to put what they thought the cigar was worth, which made the process completely subjective because...
Dago,
Cherry picking information to fit your argument while ignoring facts which clearly contradict your statements makes your opinion meaningless.
Your position needs to follow logic in order for us to understand your point. Failure to acknowledge that purchasing Cuban cigars is illegal is a...

Sounds like poor construction was an issue. It happens. The sourness was most likely tar build up due to the bunch being too tight. I've noticed this in a few anejos.
