My understanding is that with Xikars, all you have to do is take it to a Xikar dealer (local B&M) and if they have the same model, they'll replace yours with existing stock and send the bad one in.
Interesting thread. I'm staying across the street from the Oskar Blues restaurant in Longmont this week and next. Will have to stop in and see if I can try this brew.
Congrats. I know how you feel about the cigar budget. We just bought a new Higlander in June so no cigar buying for at least a couple of years. Thankfully, I've built up enough of a stash to last me a good few years.
It's as simple as this....Trust your vendor. If you do, smoke 'em and don't worry about it. If you don't trust the vendor, then send it back. Just don't expect to do any more business with that vendor in the future.
Let me know if you or anyone else is up for a smoke tomorrow night by the airport. I've got a last minute trip and will be staying by the airport tomorrow night. Last time I was able to light up in Morton's patio area. They've also got a nice bar menu with half priced appetizers.
My NYC brothers might be interested to catch the latest episode of White Collar. Club Macanudo was used as a scene location in the latest episode and is easily recognizable for those who've attended the monthly herfs.
