Love those por larranaga encantos - almost gone.

This is one that will stand out in my memory as having been a well used favorite and standard go to, introduced to me last year by CigSid. Thanks so much Bill.   I'll be 69 next week and my wife asked what I wanted for my birthday so although I had been thinking I had enough put back I ordered...

    Shipping Cigars

I don't know what others think or do, but even if shipping into the US from overseas, I just opt for cheapest standard shipping. Some are sealed really well anyhow, most of the stuff comes pretty fast since none of it comes surface.   i just figure that is more money to spend on cigars.

oh dear lord my ac went out and my humidor is 84 degrees

You'll be just fine. It was only a short while, and not a huge temperature rise.   Obviously, you would rather it have not happened but I don't see it as anything to lose sleep over.   Look at it this way, refrigeration and AC have only been around since the early 1900's but cigars have been...

Anybody using recent model compressor wineador successfully no issues?

Have never seen any condensation inside the unit.   Have had no problems with condensation in the Edgestar in any way. I was running 65/65,  and some were smoking a little dryer than I liked so have gone to 66/67.   There is a condensation drain, that drains into a small external pan only...

Anybody using recent model compressor wineador successfully no issues?

quote doesn't seem to be working for me at the moment.   Diapanos   You have to keep all of the cigars in boxes.   You also have to put several hygrometers in boxes in various locations in the wineador.   When you want to know how you are doing, open a box with a hygrometer in it and quickly...

Anybody using recent model compressor wineador successfully no issues?

Seems like someone asked how many boxes it will hold.   Today temps and humidity were just right to do spring cleaning and reorganizing.   76 boxes in there today.  Probably get another  7 or 8 easily depending on size and shape.   Will be able to seriously age some. After sinus surgery, doing...

I think I am an Illusione whore

umm, quote not working for me -   Backslide, thanks for mentioning that, and reminding me of them. Bought a box, but they came in while I couldn't smoke and I forgot about them. Need to see what I think while I can pick up some more.

I think I am an Illusione whore

After a hiatus due to sinus surgery I have been slowly reintroducing cigars. After a layoff of several months, and some suggestions from Cigar Pass members to take it easy reintroducing cigars and go slow while see where my palate is at I have been trying old favorites,   So, while I still am...

True story, neighbor calls tells me my mailbox is on their lawn

Thanks, Dave.   Still laying low on smoking due to sinus surgery, so it will be a while before I can start back smoking full strength and lengths.   I will say that your package was the best Christmas present I received this year.   Truly looking forward to smoking from your generous bombing...

what are you guys doing to fight funky stuff on wicks (tetris?)

Thanks for the input, just ordered more.   The tetris is only a little bit of discoloration in small amounts along the top edge that normally sticks out the water when full.   Just wanted to make sure I stay ahead of the situation and don't let something funky take hold in there.   They're cheap...

what are you guys doing to fight funky stuff on wicks (tetris?)

Last spring, I went with an Avallo Humidifier in the new 173 bottle wineador.   Everything has been doing quite nicely. Only issues I have had were that it seemed to take longer than I expected for everything to stabilize. I think this was primarily due to the running time of the unit changing...

    New Illusione Releases

My  ECCJ's and Clementes came in from Marvin a week or so ago in great shape.   Unfortunately, won't be able to smoke them for a while since I still haven't hit the three months mark after my sinus surgery.  Had a tatuaje Noella on Christmas Day and another on New Year's day. May have one monte...

    Best Cigars of 2014

The order in which they came to mind. Some outstanding because they are truly special. Some not that special but outstanding that I always enjoy them Por Lrranga Encantos - was turned on to those by CigSid - if I could only have three types for the rest of my life, this would be one...

Those of you who smoke indoors...

Smoked with fan blowing out the window, two heap filters (large) and so on for years. Usually with my son, two or three times a week.   Remodeled, and when renovating the room was shocked at how much yellowish dark film there was on light fixtures that were tossed and various things in the room...

Who's ready for a new humidor?

Even with boxes, I wouldn't be interested without some sort of shelving.   To get to a lower box, you would have to move four, five and possibly more to get down there.   I've had the problem enough with large coolidors. My last coolidor, was a large one that I put shelves in and stored on it's...

True story, neighbor calls tells me my mailbox is on their lawn

Couple of weeks ago, drinking my morning coffee and the next door neighbor calls.   Says "Ken, I just wanted to let you know that your mailbox is sitting in front of our house on our lawn where someone hit it last night.   Sure enough, it had been dragged several hundred feet and looked like it...
