    Fridge and Wine cooler Guide

"I have a 250 cigar cool with automatic humidifier." That could be a very wide set of circumstances and equipment. If you wish for further input, we would need to know the full specifics of your unit.

    Fridge and Wine cooler Guide

I live in the foothills of the blue ridge mountains, about 60 miles from Asheville, and almost halfway between Atlanta and Charlotte. It does get hot here in the summer and cold in the winter. I am now using a 128 bottle compressor unit, in which everything needs to be in boxes and hygrometers...

    Fridge and Wine cooler Guide

How many angels can fit on the head of a pin? Meaning there is no correct exact answer here. I had a thermo-electric (Note:not all New Air are thermoelectric) 32 wineador for about five years, with some cedar drawers - custom made but not custom fit - and for several years a 172??? bottle...

Anybody using recent model compressor wineador successfully no issues?

Very happy with the accumonitor. It is well done, and there was quick response to the minor questions that I had. I have had no problems at all and it seems to be quite consistent. Note: during the summer months when the cooling unit runs more the perceived humidity inside the wineador...

Anybody using recent model compressor wineador successfully no issues?

I don't know what happened to the pics, they are not showing up for me either. Link still works to the unit, although unit is discontinued. https://www.compactappliance.com/edgestar-173-bottle-glass-door-wine-cabinet/CWF1700SZ.html Everything still working great. Avallo humidification fine...

    The Letters - Update December 21, 2008

I would check with the vendor and see if others are in the same boat. It's been probably a couple of years since a whole pallet of stuff got pushed to the back in NY customs. My vendor offered to refund at the time but I knew a number had been tracked to a USPS facility in NY which research...

Anybody using recent model compressor wineador successfully no issues?

The 173 bottle Edgestar is doing well two and a half years on. Still using the Johnson control for temp. The Avallo humidification has been pleasant and consistent. I do keep everything in boxes. So far am quite happy with the setup. Only minor issue I have had has been every year or so the...

    Next Question: Favorite Lighter

Devil Doc said it well. You are missing out on aggravation. I have half a dozen, some leaning towards a good bit more money. I always reach for one of the Jet Line triple flames. Always lights, great burn. Beat not to death but banged around. Works great!

    Today's Smoke 2016

At the Outer Banks, smoking a Viaje honey and hand grenades, flying a kite and drinking stout. These are not quite as good as when fresh, but still quite pleasant.

Cigars from Pug upon return from my trip to the Keys.

Had a nice birthday gift of cigars from Pugman when I returned home from my trip to the Keys. Had a great trip, really nice where everything went well. Checked an "airboat ride in the Everglades" off my bucket list. (Didn't know it was on there till I had the opportunity.) Very thoughtful of...

Happy 70th Birthday to me! With Cohiba Siglo V

Thanks! Am trying to wrap up final details, and get gone. There is always more than I think, more i's to dot and T's to cross. And often have to wait on someone to produce something. Right now, it's looking like I can get out of here Thursday or Friday. I feel really grateful to still have my...

Happy 70th Birthday to me! With Cohiba Siglo V

Thanks for all the posts. I posted a bit early because I was excited to get the Siglo V's in, and plan to be on the road for actual birthday. My wife asked what I wanted for my birthday, so I said a box of Siglo V's'. That is a gift that will keep on giving.

Happy 70th Birthday to me! With Cohiba Siglo V

Age 69 was a very busy year for me, lots of water over my dam. Been to various Dr's more in the past year than the previous decade. Potentially serious health issues have all turned out to be quite minor or nothing. My mom died, for which one is never really ready. In addition, had a down year...

Smoking AF Opus X Lost City with my son, drinking Dragons Milk Stout and watching Daytona 500. It doesn't get much better than this.

    Today's Smoke 2016

Glad to hear that PSA is going down, have been meaning to make a post on that. Is that .33 or full 33 points down? Meant to post last week, I was gifted a Ghurka for Christmas and had to smoke it whether I wanted or not, and damned if it wasn't surprisingly pleasant. Saved the band and will...

What is your favorite cigar shape and why?

Lonsdales do it for me. Love the ring gauge, length is just right. I do smoke a number coronas, corona gordas, some lanceros, 7x47, etc. But I love those Lonsdales.

    Today's Smoke 2015

Anejo 46, always consistent. Nice smoke. Paired with a Thirsty Dog Siberian Night Imperial Stout aged in bourbon barrels. Absolutely the best stout I have ever had.
